Chase Applegate

Chase Applegate is a highly accomplished Manager & Practice Lead, Cyber OT Services in the cybersecurity industry. With a passion for technology and a deep understanding of cyber threats, Chase has dedicated his career to protecting organizations from malicious actors and spearheading innovative solutions. 

Chase’s journey in the cybersecurity field began with a strong foundation in technology. From a young age, he displayed an innate curiosity for computers and networks, which led him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. During his academic years, he honed his skills in programming, network security, and system administration, laying the groundwork for his future success. 

Chase started his professional career as a Tier 1/2 helpdesk technician, where he gained hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Eager to advance his knowledge, he quickly gravitated towards the field of cybersecurity and joined AECI (Advanced Engineering Cyber Innovations). He has proudly earned certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) reflecting his commitment to maintaining a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. 

Throughout his career, Chase has actively contributed to numerous cyber research projects and incident response efforts. He has led investigations into high-profile breaches, coordinated responses to sophisticated cyber attacks, and developed cutting-edge strategies to mitigate threats. His expertise in malware analysis, digital forensics, and threat intelligence has proven instrumental in safeguarding organizations against emerging threats. 

Guided by a proactive and holistic approach to cybersecurity Chase believes in the importance of not only responding to threats but also preemptively identifying vulnerabilities and implementing robust security measures. 

As a Lead Architect for Cyber Research and response, Chase’s overarching goal is to enhance the resilience of organizations against cyber threats. He aims to leverage his expertise and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design robust cybersecurity strategies, advance threat detection techniques for Operational Technology, and drive industry-wide improvements. With an increasing focus on securing critical infrastructure, Chase eagerly explores new methodologies and technologies to protect these vital systems from cyber threats. 

Outside of work, Chase enjoys exploring the great outdoors, immersing himself in nature, and pursuing adventurous activities like rock climbing, farming, fishing and hunting. Additionally, Chase is interested in metal fabrication.
