Our customer is a healthcare company providing an advanced model of holistic primary healthcare services to Medicare-eligible seniors with an aggressive growth strategy and national rollout plan in progress. The centers provide a more comprehensive level or care than the traditional primary care model, including transportation to and from the center, 24-hour service, access to same-day appointments, specialty and ancillary services, social workers, nutritionists, and more.
Protection of sensitive data is paramount. Patient’s private medical records, along with credit card information, are integral to the organization’s workflow. A data breach of any kind could be a catastrophe, which operates within tight compliance parameters. Performance is key as even tiny delays could seriously impact patient health.
With an aggressive growth strategy to double their clinic numbers year over year, it is paramount for the customer to align and adhere to HIPPA compliance standards as well as ensure compliance with major government programs such as Medicaid and Medicare.
Another company was managing the customer’s cloud infrastructure on Azure when the customer approached Difenda to conduct an architectural assessment to confirm security protocols had been correctly implemented and legacy foundations were properly intact. The client needed to ensure that a solid foundation was built so that they could move forward with new technology to rollout clinics nationwide while keeping an eye out on long-term growth into potential acquisitions.
Difenda completed a thorough review of the customer’s environment and provided a comprehensive analysis on findings, including clear action items and recommended remediations. This new model and roadmap Difenda provided enabled the customer to move forward and grow quickly while maximizing on their existing investment in Microsoft technologies.
Difenda leveraged the Microsoft Security Score along with our experience and expertise to provide the customer with the confidence they needed to move forward. Ultimately, the customer streamlined and consolidated their security program to 100% Microsoft and 100% cloud technology. Moving the customer to Sentinel was a key component as was following through with the recommended remediations including the implementation of Difenda Shield Managed Detection and Response (MDR) to strengthen the customer’s security posture. With a strong focus on advancing our customer’s security program in parallel with their current maturity level and aggressive growth strategy, the customer benefited from our modular approach and proven process of layering on security industry experts, workflow processes, and optimization of their industry-leading Microsoft technology!
